Tours depart from the Mount Dora Boating Center and Marina at 148 Charles Ave. Mount Dora, FL. Park in the upper gravel lot on Charles Ave and walk down toward the water. We have a podium at the docks. Guides may not be present to accommodate walk ups so be sure to book your tickets online in advance.

What we See

Glide Adventure tours of Mount Dora includes both history and scenic views of this historic lakeside town in central Florida.

Your Glide Adventure tour begins at Mount Dora Boating Center and Marina at 148 Charles Ave Mount Dora , FL where you will receive hands on training to safely operate a Segway PT before heading out to waterfront Evans Park. There you try out some different terrains and speeds to get comfortable and accustomed to handling your Glide. We then regroup to head over to the Port of Mount Dora to stop for a photo op in front of the iconic Mount Dora lighthouse and then enter to explore one of Mount Dora’s hidden gems, Palm Island Park to weave through intriguing nature paths and explore the raised boardwalk over the water’s edge. Watch for native birds and an alligator or two! Next we literally “Climb Mount Dora” and then descend into the heart of the historic downtown business district to learn some history of Mount Dora and see historic homes like the Donnelly house and quaint neighborhoods. Finally we see the Historic Lakeside Inn which was built in 1883, is central Florida’s oldest continuously running hotel and overlooks beautiful Lake Dora. The tour will then glide back to end at the marina.

What you need to Know

How many people can book a Glide Adventure Segway tour time slot?

• We currently have SIX Segway units available per tour. If your party is larger than six, we suggest you book a CatBoat/Glide combo tour. Half of your party can be enjoying a Segway tour while the other half enjoys the CatBoat tour. You can then switch tours for the full experience. Call 352-325-1442 to coordinate times.

Who can participate in a Segway Tour?

•Tours are limited to those 12 years of age and older.

•The rider must be between 100 and 270 lbs. If you book then you are certifying that you are within the recommended weight limits for safe Segway operation.

• The rider must be able to step on and off the Segway PT without assistance, which requires physical abilities similar to climbing and descending stairs without the support of a handrail or other walking aid.

• Helmets are provided and must be worn by all riders. If you have a favorite helmet, please feel free to bring it along.

After a purchase has been made, any guest who fails to show up for a reservation, shows up late, or fails to give 24 hour notice of cancellation for ANY reason, will be charged the full payment amount. Please ensure that you review the date, day, time, venue, price and number of tickets, prior to confirming your purchase. There are NO REFUNDS. Gift Certificates with no expiration date are issued in lieu of refunds for approved cancellations.
