Your Glide ARTventure tour begins at Mount Dora Center for the Arts at 847 E. 5th Ave Mount Dora, FL. Here you will receive hands on training to safely operate a Segway PT before heading out on your Artventure Tour.  View the infamous Van Gogh House to learn about the history and evolution of the inspiration behind the homes exterior painting and how it caught the world’s attention. We’ll glide over to the historic downtown business district where we stop for a quick check at Sunset Park and learn about the art installations there as well as some history about the railroad, the chamber, and other notable buildings in the city’s core.  

Built in 1883, the Lakeside Inn is Florida’s oldest continuously running hotel. The gatehouse on the grounds now houses artwork for purchase from local artists in the area.

 The tour continues through Simpson’s cove where Mount Dora hosts multiple sculptures as part of their new and expanding Mount Dora Waterfront Art Walk. Glide past the iconic lighthouse, the bronze alligator, and into beautiful Palm Island Park for some great photo ops while we weave through intriguing nature paths and explore the raised boardwalk over the water’s edge. 

We’ll then head back downtown as your guide leads you through the downtown Art District where multiple artist galleries and artist co-ops are set up for sales and art classes before we head back to our origination at MDCA.
