FEES and TICKETS
TICKET PRICING
The prices shown on the site when purchasing the ticket are the face value of the ticket and do not include local sales tax or tour guide gratuity. $69/person+ tax for the Town History & Park tour.
We currently have SIX Segway units available per tour.
Glide adventure Tours currently accepts payment for on-line ticket purchases via MasterCard, Visa, Discover and American Express.
Glide Adventure Tours are sold on a “first come, first served” basis. If our on-line system does not show ticket availability at the specific time and date you need or you are unable to schedule your tour online please call us at 352-325-1442 for assistance.
TICKET PURCHASE CONFIRMATION
Upon successful purchase of tickets, you will receive two copies of a Purchase Confirmation Note:
a) A Purchase Confirmation Note will be displayed immediately for printing directly from your computer, and b) An e-Mail copy will be dispatched to the purchaser shortly thereafter
Please print your ticket and bring it with you or have the confirmation available on your mobile device when you arrive. If you do not receive this confirmation, DO NOT ASSUME that you have a reservation! Please call 352-325-1442 for assistance.
IMPORTANT Check your Confirmation for Correct Date and Time
It is your responsibility to be at the designated tour location: 148 Charles Ave, Mt Dora, FL (Mount Dora Boating Center & Marina) on the correct date and 15 minutes prior to the posted tour start time. Please check your confirmation carefully. No reschedules for no-shows, cancellations received less than 24 hours prior to tour, or late arrivals.
Refunds/Cancellations
To us, a reservation is a promise — we promise that your reservation will be honored. We do not overbook. We guarantee that your reservation will be available to you on your tour. We will not sell them to someone else under any circumstances, as long as you hold your reservation. For this reason, we may have to turn away guests and potential revenue if we cannot fit them on the particular tour on which you’ve reserved space. Once we accept your reservation, therefore, we must enforce the following policies:
NO SHOWS/ LATE CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS
After a purchase has been made, any guest who fails to show up for a reservation, shows up late, or fails to give 24 hour notice of cancellation for ANY reason, will be charged the full payment amount. Please ensure that you review the date, day, time, venue, price and number of tickets, prior to confirming your purchase. There are NO CASH REFUNDS. Gift Certificates will be issued in lieu of refunds for approved cancellations.
CANCELLED TOURS In certain circumstances such as dangerous weather conditions at the tour site, guided tours may be cancelled or postponed by Glide Adventure Tours. When this occurs, Glide Adventure Tours will make every effort to:
a) Contact all scheduled tour guests to notify them of the cancellation.
b) Post details on this website of any rescheduled date.
c) Ensure you receive a gift certificate of the ticket price.
INCLEMENT WEATHER
Just like other vehicles, Segway PTs are waterproof. Therefore, we can still run tours if it is cold, windy, damp or there is a light rain. We do provide ponchos, if needed. However, if there is thunder or lightning and we have to cancel or discontinue the tour, and you will be issued a gift certificate for a future tour.
Rules and Regulations
LIMITATION ON LIABILITY
Except in jurisdictions where such provisions are restricted, in no event will Glide Adventure Tours be liable to you for any indirect, consequential, exemplary, incidental, special or punitive damages, including also lost profits, even if Glide Adventure Tours has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
SAFETY VIDEO
Glide Adventure Tours requires all guests to watch the Safety video prior to touring with us. Please watch the video before arriving. We will also play the video for you when you check in.
WAIVER and CONSENT
For everybody’s safety, Glide Adventure Tours is required to have a Release and Waiver Liability Form signed by each guest. A Parental Consent Agreement is also required for minors.
OTHER IMPORTANT RULES
Tours are limited to those 12 years of age and older.
The rider must be between 100 and 270 lbs.
The rider must be able to step on and off the Segway PT without assistance, which requires physical abilities similar to climbing and descending stairs without the support of a handrail or other walking aid
Helmets are provided and must be worn by all riders. If you have your own favorite helmet, feel free to bring it along.
No one under the influence of drugs or alcohol will be permitted to ride a Segway PT.
It is at the full discretion of the tour guide to determine whether a person is fit to take the Glide Adventure Segway tour.
